BCRTA to Add Stops and Improve Efficiency Beginning January 26, 2026

December 30, 2025

The Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA) is implementing service updates designed to enhance efficiency and expand access to employment and education opportunities throughout the region.

Beginning January 26, 2026, BCRTA will introduce route and schedule changes that improve connectivity and support workforce development across Butler County.

BCRTA’s R1 route will add new stops at Princeton Road and Gilmore Road, improving access along one of the county’s key employment and shopping corridors. The R3 route has been adjusted to account for traffic conditions and will now include a stop at the Miami University Advanced Manufacturing Hub (AM-Hub) in Hamilton. The R6 route has been updated to strengthen regional connections, adding a stop at the AM-Hub and at Symmes and Sencorp White, removing stops on South 2nd Street and Washington Street to improve efficiency, and adding new stops along Central Avenue and near Jefferson Park on East Avenue.

OhioMeansJobs has already relocated to the new AM-Hub location. “We are thrilled to have a BCRTA bus stop at our new location,” said Amy Miller, Operator at OhioMeansJobs. “We are so fortunate to have a bus system in our community that helps people get to work and access our services.”

“BCRTA’s mission is to support Butler County’s quality of life and economic development through public transportation solutions,” said Shawn Cowan, Director of Customer Care and Public Engagement at BCRTA. “These service changes help remove transportation barriers and strengthen access to emerging job centers across the county.”
