April 22, 2026
HAMILTON, OH — The Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA) is expanding access to summer recreation with the addition of new transit stops connecting riders to popular community aquatic centers in Oxford and Middletown.
Beginning May 18, BCRTA will introduce a new stop along the O1 route in Oxford to serve the Oxford Aquatic Center. In Middletown, the Red Line will be expanded to serve the New Monsoon Bay Aquatic Center at the YMCA Atrium.
“BCRTA is excited to enhance access to these family-friendly destinations, said Shawn Cowan, Director of Customer Care and Public Engagement, BCRTA, “connecting our community, and making it easier for residents and visitors to enjoy summer activities across Butler County.”
Fixed route services remain free for all riders. Children aged 12 and older may ride independently, while children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Red Line operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The O1 summer schedule will operate daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Updated schedules and route times will be available on the BCRTA website in early May.
