BCRTA Welcomes New Board Leadership, Honors Outgoing President

January 26, 2026

Hamilton, OH – January 21, 2026 – The Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA) has elected new leadership, marking an exciting chapter for the organization. Perry Gordon, who has served as Vice President, is the new Board President, and longtime board member Corey Watt has been named Vice President.

The leadership transition also honors outgoing President Chris Lawson. “The BCRTA and I are immensely grateful for the commitment all our volunteer board members make to giving their time to providing oversight and strategic direction to the agency,” said Matthew Dutkevicz, Executive Director of the BCRTA. “We are truly indebted to Mr. Lawson for his years of service as he leaves the presidency for the first time in over a decade, and we celebrate the election of Mr. Gordon as he takes on this new challenge and opportunity during an exciting time for growth at BCRTA.”

President Gordon is ready to lead the organization into its next evolution. With years of experience guiding the board, he brings both continuity and vision to his new role. Vice President Watt, an enthusiastic supporter of public transit, will continue to provide strategic guidance and support, helping BCRTA advance its mission across Butler County.

“This new leadership team is well-positioned to build on the strong foundation laid by Mr. Lawson and continue enhancing transit services for our community,” Dutkevicz added.

Mr. Lawson and Mr. Gordon were appointed to the BCRTA Board of Trustees in 2012.  Mr. Watt has been a trustee since 2017.  All BCRTA Board of Trustees meetings are open to the public and published at butlercountyrta.com.  To learn more about BCRTA, visit butlercountyrta.com.
